The Cochrane-Fountain City Recorder reports Paula Stansbury will begin her new position on January 9th. Stansbury had been employed by Buffalo County for eleven years and directed the Health and Human Services Department for the past six years.
The county HHS committee is recommending a review of the position before seeking a permanent replacement. In the meantime, the committee is also recommending Sonja Hanson be appointed interim HHS director and Carri Renchin be appointed as interim social services supervisor.
Both are current Buffalo County employees.
