Habitat for Humanity Winona - Fillmore County invites the public to attend a groundbreaking celebration to welcome the Baumann family to their future neighborhood on Saturday, August 25th, at 8:00 A.M.
            
The site of the Habitat home and the celebration is in Utica.
            
All Habitat homes are constructed with contributions of time, resources and materials from volunteer supporters, as well as the "sweat equity" of prospective homeowner families. The Baumann family will purchase their home with a no-profit, zero percent interest loan, and their monthly mortgage payments will be used to build more Habitat houses.
             
Habitat for Humanity Winona-Fillmore Counties built its first home in 1994. A total of 45 homes have been constructed. In addition to the twenty eight homes within the city of Winona, Habitat has built homes in Altura, Lewiston, Minnesota City, Rushford, St. Charles and Stockton. This year we will construct three single family homes located in Winona, Harmony, and Utica.
