(KWNO)-Tens of thousands of Minnesotans are expected to be on the road this holiday weekend. AAA Minnesota spokesperson Brian Ortner says travel records could be set over the four-day weekend. In the Midwest, AAA is predicting more than 3.7 million travelers will be taking trips of at least 50 miles between Friday and Tuesday.
Nationally, AAA estimates more than 50 million people will be traveling, two million more than last year’s 4th of July holiday. For the travel industry, the pandemic is in the rear-view mirror. All travel numbers are back to pre-pandemic levels.
