The Minnesota State patrol says a two-vehicle crash in Olmsted County Friday evening sent eight people to the hospital with injuries.
The Patrol said vehicles driven by Robin Donegan of Coralville, Iowa, and Maria Oropeza-Beltran of Rochester collided at the intersection of Highway 14 and Minnesota Highway 42 north of Eyota.
Donegan and a passenger were both taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester with non life-threatening injuries.
Oropeza-Beltran and five of her seven passengers were also transported to St. Mary's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Five of the passengers were children between the ages of three and 12. A 3-year-old, 4-year-old, 9-year-old and the 12-year-old were all taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Two of the children were not injured.
Ambulances from Rochester, Eyota,and St. Charles transported the injured.
The Eyota and Dover Fire Departments also responded.
