The Mayo Clinic wants its employees to shoulder more of their healthcare costs and is revamping its benefits.
The Post-Bulliten reports the changes will take effect on January First, 2015. Employees throughout the Mayo system will have a choice of three health plans and will share a greater percentage of the cost of their coverage, according to Mayo officials,
It's not known yet how high the projected increases will be.
Company officials said their goal has always been to secure a highly competitive benefit package that also allows the company to recruit and retain a world class staff.
Mayo also plans to shift retirees from group coverage to individual coverage. Future retirees will choose coverage that best fits their needs.
