Republican State Representative Greg Davids is calling on his fellow lawmakers to get behind the proposal to expand the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
               
Davids says Mayo is seeking support of a plan not only to expand its facilities in Rochester but also create as many as 40,000 new jobs over the next several years.  Davids says the proposal is to make Mayo a destination medical center which would benefit the entire state in addition to the local region.

Davids says lawmakers need to support Mayo's expansion efforts and potential job creation.
