The Houston County Sheriff's Department said a 50-year-old man was severely burned when a meth lab exploded on Sunday.
Sheriff Doug Ely said officers responded just before 4:00 p.m. to an undisclosed location and learned the man was seeking medical treatment in La Crosse.
Ely said the victim, whose name was not released, was later taken to a burn center for treatment.
The Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Caledonia Ambulance and Fire Department, Winona County Sheriff's Department, and the Southeast Minnesota Gang and Narcotics Task Force.
A search warrant was executed and evidence recovered consistent with an active meth lab.
Ely said his office will not release further information until the investigation is complete.....
