Minnesota Health Insurance

State officials Friday gave people a first look at health insurance plans and rates to be sold on Minnesota's new health insurance marketplace.

Individual policy premium rates are the lowest average rates in the country for health insurance plans sold through Minnesota's new health insurance marketplace, MNsure.
DFL Representative Joe Atkins, chief House author of the bill, says it's great news for all Minnesotans.

Officials say coverage will be available for as low as $91 a month when the marketplace goes live next month. Five companies are selling a total of 141 plans on the exchange.
Health plans included in MNsure will be sold during open enrollment which begins October 1st and coverage will take effect January 1st, 2014.
