Authorities said a missing Dakota man was located Wednesday after about a three-hour search.
Winona County Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said authorities were called before 5:00 a.m. to the area of the Play-Mor Campground along Highway 61 south of Winona on a report of a man walking alone.
A deputy gave the 53-year-old man a ride to the east end area of Winona and dropped him off because the man said he was heading home.
Sometime later the department got a second call saying the man was without his medication and had apparently walked away from a Dakota residence.
The man was located on the Wisconsin side of the interstate bridge around 8:30 a.m. unharmed after authorities received another call.
