National Train Day

The National Train Day will be held on Saturday, May 11th at the Winona Amtrak Station located at 65 East Mark Street.

The open house will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and visitors can learn about the nationally registered Depot and the history of the 5 railroads that serviced Winona at one time.
Greg Gaut and Erik Blom will be available to answer questions about the history of trains in Winona and the recent National Register nomination for the Depot.
National Train Day is a holiday started by Amtrak in 2008 as a method to spread information to the general public about the advantages of rail travel and the history of trains in the United States.
