Planning is continuing for the new $2.4 million addition to Winona Senior High school.
Superintendent Scott Hannon told a Winona Radio audience that good progress has been made so far on the design for the math and science addition and it is on schedule for construction to take place next summer. Hannon says the goal is have the plans ready so the project can be bid in February.
Local Architect Owen Warneke and Associates, along with Wold Architects of the Twin Cities, are working on the project. The funds for construction come from the estate of former math instructor Richard Kolter who bequeathed the money to the school district.
