Peplinski Charged

Winona Police said a 21-year-old Winona woman was jailed early Sunday after she allegedly assaulted a police officer in downtown Winona.
Police Chief Paul Bostrack said officers were called to an area on East Third Street about 1:00 a.m. on a report of a disturbance.

While interviewing Brittany Kate Peplinski, Bostrack said, Peplinski became unruly and kicked a police officer in the knee.

Peplinski was charged with felony fourth degree assault on a police officer, obstructing the legal process with force, and disorderly conduct.
