Authorities say a person of interest in the shooting death of 72-year-old Mickey Ellenbecker will be interviewed again this week as they continue their investigation.
Sheriff Dave Brand said the 64-year-old male is not being considered as a suspect in the shooting at Ellenbecker's home on March 8th.
Authorities are not calling the shooting either a homicide or a suicide.
An autopsy showed Ellenbecker died from a bullet wound in the back of the head fired from his own 22-caliber revolver.
Investigators were back at the Pickwick-area home last Wednesday trying to confirm some of the person of interest's earlier statements. The man was in the home at the time of the shooting.
He is not being held in custody.
Brand said the case has not been sent to the county attorney's office for consideration of any criminal charges.
