Power Outage



The Winona County Sheriff's Department said the storm that passed through the area early Thursday caused a power outage.  Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said a powerline came down along Highway 248 between Rollingstone and Altura about 7:00 a.m.
                 
Ganrude said that caused about 250 Xcel Energy customers to lose power for a time.  Ganrude said traffic on Highway 248 had to be re-routed for a time until the line was repaired.

As of 7:00 a.m. according to the National Weather Service, Altura had reported about 0.8 inch of rain...Minnesota City a half an inch.  The largest amount of rainfall was reported in Highland in Fillmore County which registered 1.82 inches as of 7:00 a.m.
                 
In Wisconsin, Galesville reported 1.83 inches and Lock and Dam Four at Alma reported a half an inch.
