Purple Caucus--Reax

Reaction to a proposal to bring Republicans and Democrats together in the state senate has been absolutely positive according to Republican Jeremy Miller, who along with Democrat Roger Reinert of Duluth, have formed the "Purple Caucus" in an effort to reduce the partisanship and rankor at the capitol.

Miller says the reaction has come from all parts of the state and from fellow senators. Miller says the partisanship has gotten out of control and needs to be reigned in.

The two senators want to focus more on what's best for the state and not the individual parties. The purple caucus is open to any state senator and Miller said he hopes to expand it to state representatives in the future.
