The most contentious and expensive election in Wisconsin history is over, and Governor Scott Walker has survived the recall. Mike McCabe, the executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, says it will be a while before the healing begins.
McCabe also says he does not think there will be any more recalls in the near future.
McCabe says one of the effects of the recall is that many people have come to the conclusion that the political system in Wisconsin is broken, and needs to be changed, beginning with campaign finance reform.
