SE-Tech Search

The search for a new president for Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical is expected to begin soon.

Current President Jim Johnson announced in August he will retire at the end of June, 2014 after 19 years in the position.

Johnson said the Minnesota State Colleges and University board is expected to announce a timeline in early November with a final selection announced by late next spring.

Johnson said Peggy Kennedy, president of the five-campus system in the Moorhead area will lead the search committee.

Johnson, who will not be involved in the search, also told a Winona Radio audience there will be a lot of input from both the Winona and Red Wing communities.

Johnson has been with Southeast Tech since 1981.
