SMU Track and Field

For the first two outdoor track and field meets of the season, the jumpers in general-and Becca Dup in particular-have stolen the show for Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

Dup was at it again Saturday at Gustavus' Lee Krough Invitational-notching three, third-place finishes-but this time around, the Cardinal sophomore had to step aside and give up the spotlight.
Desmond Steward put together Saint Mary's best performance of the afternoon, winning the triple jump with a leap of 13.36 meters, easily outdistancing runner-up-and teammate-Dean Marlin's 12.00-meter second-place effort.

And that was just the beginning for Steward, who finished the afternoon with three top-10 finishes, adding a third in the long jump (6.11m) and a sixth in the high jump (1.65m).
