School Board

The Winona Area Public School Board meets Thursday and will be asked to ratify a new contract with the district's education assistants union.

The settlement includes a 6.5 percent increase over three years retroactive to last July 1st.

The board will also receive an update on the superintendent search. Monday the board approved six semi-finalists for the position.

Next Wednesday, February 12th, the six candidates will be in Winona and will have question-answer sessions with community, administrator and employee groups all day.

The board will be held at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall and the public is welcome to attend.
