Republican candidate for Governor of Minnesota Marty Seifert flew into Winona Thursday as he continues his campaign to win the Republican nomination for Governor.
Seifert, a former state representative, tells Winona Radio News, if elected Governor he would fix the broken tax and regualtion laws in the state to create a better business environment.
Seifert, who does not have his party's endorsement, says he is the best choice to run against DFL Governor Mark Dayton in November and his aggressive campaign schedule has been working.
Seifert will challenge the Republican-endorsed candidate for governor, Jeff Johnson, in the August 12th GOP primary. The other two candidates are Scott Honour and Kurt Zellers. Whoever wins the primary will face off against Governor Dayton.
