Winona State (11-1, 2-1 NSIC) was held to .091 hitting on Tuesday night, their second lowest percentage of the season, but still came away with a 3-1 victory at Upper Iowa (6-6, 0-3 NSIC). The Warriors had a season high 12 blocks during the 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21 win.
Cotter battles back in second half to get tough win over LaCresent. LaCresent took an early lead with junior Alex Boudreau scoring unassisted in the 6th minute. The first half ended 0-1 in favor of LaCresent with few shots taken by either team in the half. Cotter came out hard in the second half searching for an equaliser. In the 61st minute Cotter's senior midfielder Daniel Cardenas-Suarez put the ball in the back of the net off a pass from sophomore Waheed Ahmadzai to tie the game. Cardenas-Suarez was not done as he scored unassisted in the 75th minute to give Cotter the go ahead goal.
