The St. Charles City Council will hold a public hearing next week on a plan that would pave the way for a St. Charles business to move into the city's new business park located near Interstate 90.
The council will host the public hearing on May 24th, on a proposal to modify several tax increment financing districts that would help Active Tool and Die expand its St. Charles business into the new Chattanooga Innovation Park.
The firm employees 15 people and has been located in St. Charles since 1997.
According to the Post-Bulletin, city officials hope the first business in the park will generate interest in other businesses locating there.
Cobblestone Hotels has completed a feasibility study on possible construction of a new hotel costing 3-million dollars in the business park
