Minnesota lawmakers will try once again to lift the state's longstanding ban on liquor sales on Sundays.
A bipartisan bill was introduced in the Senate earlier this week and one of the co-sponsors is Winona Republican Senator Jeremy Miller. Miller says the proposed legislation would give liquor stores the option of being open on Sundays but it would not make it mandatory.
Co-sponsor Senator Roger Reinert, a DFLer from Duluth, says every single state and province that borders Minnesota has Sunday liquor sales.
