A generous donation from the Winona Health Auxiliary was used to add Tranquility TV to the channel line-up throughout the Winona Health main campus. Tranquility TV provides therapeutic relaxation video with soothing music to patients and residents and is available 24 hours a day.
Robin Hoeg. service line leader for inpatient care, says Tranquility TV supports Winona Health's goal of enhancing the healing environment. "Scientific evidence shows that this type of therapeutic tool can reduce stress, accelerate patient recovery, and create an environment that increases comfort and makes treatment easier for patients."
Tranquility TV is available throughout Winona Health's main campus including the hospital, Lake Winona, Roger Metz and Adith Miller manors, in the clinic, Emergency Department and Surgery family waiting area.
In 2012, the Winona Health Auxiliary raised more than $80,000 for projects to enhance the healing environment at Winona Health and for scholarships for individuals pursuing healthcare careers.
