United Way Grants



The United Way of the Greater Winona Area announced it is awarding $45,000 in venture grants to eleven local innovative children's programs.
                 
United Way Board Chair Justin Green said applications from 22 different programs totaling $120,000  were received from 18 different agencies and the grants are part of the organization's focus on using part of the funds it raises annually to support children's pre-school programming.

Executive Director Beth Moe said the agencies that were chosen for the grants will be collaborating with other groups.....

Green said the United Way will be seeking moe applications when it continues the venture grant program next year.

The United Way will also continue to fund its member agencies.
