By Jake Litman Apr 12, 2023 | 10:44 AM

(KWNO)- Visit Winona announced via press release that they are introducing a new meet-up series for new residents of Winona called, ‘Hello, Winona!’.

Hello Winona! says that this series will feature activities and opportunities for new community members to engage with area business and one another and discover all of the amenities that Winona has to offer. The events will be free of charge.

Executive Director at Visit Winona, Pat Mutter, says of the new program, “We know that so many visitors to Winona ultimately decide that this is where they would like to live. Since Visit Winona is so plugged into everything happening in the community that both residents and visitors love, we felt it was a natural fit to provide this kind of program to new residents.”

Visit Winona says that the program will highlight two categories of new resident populations, families and singles/couples. There will be a rotating schedule of hands-on learning and social gatherings for each population.

The first Hello Winona! program will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 9 a.m. Visit Winona is inviting new resident families to the Winona Visitor Center to learn about area resources and outdoor activities over light refreshment. The group will receive a tour of the Winona State University Outdoor Education and Recreation Center indoor climbing wall at Wabasha Hall, with a chance to try climbing.

The second program will be held for singles and couples on Thursday, June 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Winona Visitor Center. This program will include an exclusive tour of the Remlinger Muscle Car Museum and Event Center.

RSVPs to each event are required for participation, and those interested must RSVP five days prior to the event. To do so, call Visit Winona at 507-452-0735.
