Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Winona is one of six service organizations across Minnesota to receive a state grant to support senior volunteers.
               
Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon announced the awards during a capital rally in St. Paul.

A total of $700,000 in grants were announced.

Catholic Charities of the Winona Diocese will receive a grant of nearly 194-thousand dollars to help engage an estimated 1,025 volunteers in their communities .

The group's service area is eleven counties, including Winona, Wabasha, Goodhue, and Olmsted counties.....
