The Winona Area Public School Board Thursday approved a timeline for the selection of a new Superintendent of Schools.
The timeline calls for the district to advertise the position vacancy and and receive applications during November, December and January with an application deadline on January 15th.
The board will determine finalists, review interview proceedures and approve questions February 3rd during an evening working session of the board.
A first round of interviews will be held February 12th with the board, staff and community members. A second round of interviews is scheduled for February 18th and 19th.
A finalist will be selected in early to mid-March. A contract would be ratified by the board in early April and the new superintendent would start July 1st, 2014.
Current Superintendent, Scott Hannon, will retire at the end of next June.
