Morning Headlines with Paul Lundquist on KWNO
The Winona Area Public School Board Wednesday named three finalists after an entire afternoon interviewing six candidates for Superintendent of Schools.
Four different committees, including one representing the school board, took turns interviewing the candidates. After hearing feedback from the committees on the candidates and their own discussion and vote, the board chose Stephen Flisk, Stephen West and Patrick Sweeney to invite back next week.
Board member Steve Schild says all the candidates were well qualified. Schild says the second round of 90 minutes interviews February 18th and 19th will give the board a chance to go into more detail with the three finalists.
Following the final interview next Wednesday evening, the board will select a final candidate to offer the job to.
Flisk is the current associate superintendent of the Minneapolis Public Schools, West is the director of education services at the Eden Prairie Schools and Sweeney is currently the assistant superintendent at the Paradise Valley Public School District.
