Winona State University kicker Carter McCauley has been named CoSIDA Academic First Team All-American. McCauley, who was a Second Team All-American last year, is one of 11 players on this year's team to earn the achievement for a second year.
A year after setting the school record with 18 field goals, the Warrior' junior hit 16 in 2016. He had two games with three field goals and four games with two made field goals. His longest of the year was 47 yards.
McCauley made 33 extra points on the season. He also averaged 52.8 yards on 58 kickoffs.
