The Winona State men's basketball program announceed the additions of Devin Whitelow and Kevion Taylor. The two signed letters of intent on Wednesday and will join the Warriors for the 2017-18 campaign.
Whitelow is from Washington, Illinois and attends Washington High School. So far in his high school career he has picked up several awards, including Prep Hoops All-Illinois First Team and Prep Hoops Illinois Irish Program MVP. He is a two-time all-conference performer.
Last season as a junior he averaged 12 points per game along with four rebounds, four assists and two steals per game.
Taylor attends Whitnall High School in Whitnall, Wisconsin; his high school team qualified for the state tournament last year. Individually he has been named; Woodland East First Team All-Conference, Third Team Journal-Sentinel All-Area, All-Suburban Boys Basketball Team and Honorable Mention All-State honors.
Taylor is a three-year starter going into his senior season. As a junior he averaged 19.1 points per game, as well as grabbing 7.1 rebounds. He shot 55% from the field and 40% from three. He was also a double-digit scorer as a junior, averaging 11.8 points per game.
