Warriors kicker Carter McCauley was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic Super Region 3 All-District™ Football Team on Thursday.
McCauley will advance to the national bracket for a chance to be named to the CoSIDA All-American Team for the second straight season. McCauley has made 12 field goals on the year with four coming from 40 yards or further. He has a long of 47, which he has hit twice. He also has six touchbacks on the year and has averaged 54.0 yards per kickoff.
The 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Football Teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The NSIC had 12 of the 25 student-athletes named all-district first team from the four conferences making up super region #3. The Winona State soccer team had two players earn NSIC All-Conference Honors. Meg Riebau was named to the second team and Abby Bohanski was named to the third team.
Riebau played and started in all 18 games this season, scoring six goals and contributing two assists. She was second on the team in goals and tied for second points. Riebau led all Warriors with eight match winners.
Bohanski was the team leader in goals with eight on the season. She also had four assists and finished with a team leading 20 points in 18 matches. She had three match winners on the season.
