WSU Track and Field

Fresh off their first NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championship, Winona State had nine athletes earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors. Heather Buckler, Raissa Hansen, Taylor Juresh, Nicole Nelson, Erin Perkins, Brittany Schyvinck, Megan Seidl, Kathleen Taylor and Tamika Tucker were all honored. Seidl earned all-region in three events.


Seidl teamed up with Juresh, Schyvinck and Tucker to win the 4x100 meters at the NSIC Championships, setting a new WSU and NSIC record time of 46.10 seconds.

Seidl also earned all-region honors in the 200 meters and 400 meters after winning both events at the NSIC Championships.


Buckler and Taylor earned all-region honors in the shot put. Buckler took second while Taylor was third last Friday at the NSIC Championships.


Nelson and Perkins are all-region in the hammer throw. Perkins finished second and Nelson was third at the NSIC Championships.


Hansen was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NSIC Championships and earned all-region honors.
