#6 Winona State (27-6) hung with the number one team in the nation Concordia St. Paul (30-2) before falling 16-25, 11-25, 25-21, 22-25 in four sets Friday. Danielle Rampart had her second double-double in the NCAA Tournament, finishing with 13 kills and 15 digs. Taylor Goar did the same adding 10 kills and led the team with 19 digs.
Winona State finished the year with 27 wins, second most in school history. Their .818 winning percentage this season was the best in school history. They also advanced to the round of 32; winning their first NCAA Tournament match in their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
