There may be a recall election from the August 12th primary where one vote separated the second and third place candidates in the Wabasha County Board's second district.
Brian Goihl of Lake City handily won first place among the three candidates with 248 votes. But Simon Kehren came in with 141 votes and Jamie Mehrkens received 140 votes.
The top two candidates advance to the November general election.
The Wabasha County Herald reports a recount may be in the offing between Kehren and Mehrkens.
Whatever happens, the board will have two new members in January. That's because second ward incumbent Deb Roschen did not seek re-election and fifth district incumbent David Harms was eliminated in the primary election.
