Windom Park Signs

The Winona City Council will be asked at its next meeting on February 3rd to decide where signs advertising community events will be placed.
The signs have been in Windom Park...for a number of years but after some opposition was voiced with keeping them there, city staff has recommended two other locations, Central Park at Main and Broadway, and the Franklin and Sarnia Street intersection.

Mayor Mark Peterson said the council is seeking public input on the two locations prior to making a final decision.

Opponents to the Windom Park location have felt the signs were unsightly and a distraction from one of Winona's finest parks which includes the historic Princess Wenonah fountain.
