The Winona State men’s basketball team came out with a better effort in their second exhibition game and blasted Division III UW-Stout 83-56. Winona State gave up 94 points in their first exhibition and this time they gave up 56 points on 34 percent shooting. The Warriors were out from the outside last night hitting 8-13 three-pointers and they shot 55 percent overall.
Winona State had five players in double figures led by redshirt freshman Riley Bambenek who had 17 points and was 3-4 from beyond the arc. Winona native Mark Blacklock scored 10 points for the Warriors. Winona State will now open up regular season play this weekend when they play three games in Puerto Rico starting on Friday.
