Born and raised is Selby South Dakota right by an amazing feat of nature called the middle of nowhere. (DANGER BIG EGO AHEAD!) When I was a sophomore in High School I took a new class at Selby High, Go Lions, that did video editing and we put together highlight tapes for the different sports and provided video footage for the coaches. I liked it and was good at it so the next year the school started an advanced communications technology class with more advanced systems the teacher didn't have the training it required to teach the class. And after my friend got suspended for threatening to break the teachers nose.(true story) I got handed some manuals and was told to teach the class the video editing software and put the schools TV station on the air, which I did because I'm awesome.

I started looking for schools and they didn't have a mass comm. degree without some radio. I wasn't sure if I would like that so I took an internship with a local radio station in Mobridge SD, and loved it. I went to school in Minneapolis at the prestigious Brown College (it's like THE Ohio State University). Then moved around the Midwest working at radio stations in Grinnell IA and Ottumwa IA before moving here to Winona.

Likes - Cooking, The Vikings, talking to myself, making fun of Aaron Taylor, music, Johnny Depp and last but not least spending time with my son Ian.

Dislikes - Peppers and onions (together or separate), hangovers, movies with subtitles, people who don't like Johnny Depp.

Favorite TV Shows - House, Iron Chef America, Hero's, Bones, THE OC (That's right THE OC), The Sopranos, Good Eats, Justice, American Dad, Family Guy, Dirty Jobs, American Chopper, Man vs. Wild, How I met your mother(Suite up!), Mythbusters, Studio 60, 30 Rock, Prison Break.

Favorite Movies - Van Wilder, Accepted, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, the Blues Brothers, Big Fish, UHF, Kentucky Fried Movie, Spaceballs, V for Vendetta, The X Men Movies.

I'm all over Winona Radio's airwaves . . . literally. I began my broadcast career May 2006, as a fill-in for Mr. Jim Trotter, saturday mornings on Kage Kountry 1380 AM. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to spread my voice throughout Winona and the surrounding area - as far as the radio waves carry.

i've done time on khme 101.1 fm, i give forecasts each weekend on cd country 99.3 fm, as well as run the board for highschool and professional sports and . . . i am there with you each and every weekend on kg 95.3 fm. join me for weekends with tess every saturday and sunday starting at 2:00 p.m. But, I must say that the first time i was live on KWNO AM 1230 was the best. I didn't do the best at working the board, but just to have that connection with a radio station that has been a part of my life since, well, since before I was even born. My favorite program that Winona Radio carries is Coast to Coast AM - every night at midnight on AM 1230. Wanna go for a ride??

The station I enjoy working the most, however, is KG Kountry 1380 AM. I love that it's all hands on and the audience is quite nice. i love choosing my play list, i've found some great old, lost titles by great, iconic artists and learned to love some new ones, too. my favorite country song is, "that old fiddle on the wall" by michelle cupit.

My radio days began as a child, with my father being working with kwno since he was 16 . . . interestingly enough, my family actually 'began' at the KWNO AM tower apartment on Garvin Heights in the early 1970s. A mom, a dad, a big sister, then me . . . to this day, my father has ties to Winona Radio and still occupies the KWNO AM transmitter apartment [that is, until the tower and the house is destroyed in the coming year or so as Winona Radio consolidates its KWNO and KAGE AM towers].

Music is, has been and forever will be a huge, huge part of my life and my being. I, of course, have my favorite music, outside winona radio's broadcast world. Maynard James Keenan - of Tool and a Perfect Circle - is my muse. My daddie plays fiddle and i am grateful each time he plays - his music has soothed me since childhood.
