As candidates have begun filing for mayor of Winona, current Mayor Jerry Miller says he is looking for his replacement to be someone that the community can trust.
Miller told a Winona Radio audience he's looking for someone who can build a consensus and work with city staff and not against them. And Miller also says even though the mayor is elected by the majority of voters, the city's leader must look at all issues in a broad way.
Miller announced earlier he will not seek re-election in November bringing to a close, at the end of this year, his 16 year career as mayor.
