Mississippi River Rising



The National Weather Service says heavy rains over the last several days will cause the Mississippi River to be on the rise over the next several days.  No flooding is expected.
                  
In Winona the river is expected to hit 10.2 feet on Saturday, June 2nd. Flood stage in Winona is 13 feet. 

The river is expected to rise to 12.9 feet. Flood stage at Lake City is 16 feet.  In Wabasha, where the flood stage is 12 feet, the river is expected to hit a high of 11.4 feet.  At the Alma dam, where the flood stage is 16 feet, the river is predicted to hit 9.5 feet on Saturday.
