Arts-Harris



The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts in Winona will welcome a new managing director with an open house on Thursday, June 14th.
                   
Joelle Harris will take over the position being vacated by current managing director Christine Martin.

Harris was selected  from a pool of candidates through a national search this spring. She holds a degree in theater studies with a minor in vocal music from Capital University, and a Master's in Arts Administration and Non-Profit Management from the University of Akron. She previously served as the executive director of the Columbus Children's Theater.

Harris assumes the position on June First, following the departure of Martin who has been involved in the Minnesota Conservatory of the Arts since 1996 and has served a its managing director for the past 13 years.

Martin will continue to teach in the dance division of the school and serve as an advisor to he school through the Friends of M-C-A board.
