Hiawatha Broadband Communications has opened a new office in Red Wing.
                    
The Winona-based company is constructing a fiber-optic network in Red Wing that is expected to be operational within the next year and serve the entire city.  Some 700 locations in Red Wing currently are eligible for the fiber-optic television, internet and telephone services.             
                    
HBC currently operates in 16 markets in southeastern Minnesota.
