State Representative Greg Davids of Preston is one of only two Republican Minnesota lawmakers endorsed for the November election by Education Minnesota...the teacher's union.
                 
The union announced it was endorsing candidates in 85 legislative races across Minnesota and 83 of those endorsements went to Democrats.  The only other endorsement for a Republican went to Representative Jim Abeler of Anoka.
                  
Winona Representative Gene Pelowski, a Democrat was also endorsed. Pelowski is also a teacher at Winona High School plans to retire fro the school district this year.  Education Minnesota has endorsed 28 DFL candidates for the State senate and 55 DFLers for the House.
