Winona's Great River Shakespeare Festival, which kicks off in two weeks is looking to set a new attendance record.
Managing Director Eric Bunge says pre-sales have been going well and he is hoping at almost double last year's attendance. Bunge says advance season tickets sale have been going well and the success has been based on earlier marketing than previous years.
The ninth season runs from June 20th through August 5th at Winona State University. Actors and staff members began arriving in mid-May and rehearsals are well underway. There are over 100 company members in town.
The season features main performances of "King Lear" and "Two Gentlemen of Verona." Ticket information is available at www.grsf.org
