Two Rushford residents survived when their motorcycle collided with a deer on Highway 43 in Winona County over the weekend.
                 
The Minnesota State Patrol said a Harley-Davidson cycle driven by 47-year-old Dennis Rutgers was southbound on Highway 43 when it struck a deer.
                 
Rutgers was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester  to be treated for his injuries.  His passenger, 47-year-old Theresa Rutgers was taken to Winona Health with non life-threatening injuries.
                 
The incident was reported art 9:20 p.m. Saturday.
