Winona's HBC Cable has teamed up with U-S Ignite Partnership to help in the development of next-generation internet applications and services for southeastern Minnesota businesses and families.
                     
HBC President and C-E-O, Gary Evans, says the partnership offers an opportunity to showcase the Hiawatha Valley in the hopes it will attract many applications developers to this area.

The primary goal of  the U-S Ignite Partnership is to catalyze 60 advanced next-generation applications over the next five years in six areas of national priority including: education and workforce development, advanced manufacturing, health I-T, transportation, public safety, and clean energy.

An agreement has been entered into with Red Wing for HBC to bring next-generation applications to the Red Wing community

H-B-C General Manager in Red Wing, Jerry Olson, said this is a rare opportunity for Red Wing to leap to a new era of technology and communications that should spur economic development in Red Wing.....
