The City of Winona and Winona County will host a joint public information meeting this week on state regulations and permitting for frac sand mining operations.
                    
The session will run from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Winona Middle School auditorium.

Representatives of four state agencies will be on hand including the Minnesota DNR, Department of Health, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Department of Transportation.

Each agency will address a topic related to frac sand mining.

A question and answer session will be held from 7:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
