28 year old Cornelius Lorenzo Williams and 31 year old Matthew Thomas Danzeisan, both of Winona, were arrested Tuesday morning after a search of Winona\'s East end.
 
According to police Chief Paul Bostrack on Monday evening, police responded to the East End Bar on a reported assault involving a handgun. Police were told two patrons were standing outside when two other men approached them.  The four started out talking until one of the men pulled out a handgun, held it to the chest of one of the patrons and asked, “Who beat up my buddy” then demanded the mans shirt. The patrons did not know the two men but did provide police with a description.
 
Following an investigation police were led to the 650 block of East Mark. Officers spotted a man outside of the residence that appeared to be holding a handgun. Law Enforcement officers secured the area and around 8-oclock Tuesday morning…Williams came out and was then arrested.
 
Danzeisan was located and arrested around 10am at an address on the 250 block of East Third Street.  Police recovered a pellet handgun in a search of the Mark Street residence.  Both men are being held in the Winona County Jail pending charges.  The Winona County sheriff\'s deputies and members of the Winona Emergency Response team assisted Winona police.
