A Galesville man has been sentenced to seven years behind bars for a bar fight and a drunken driving crash that killed his brother.
Thirty-one-year-old James Pederson will serve the time at the end of an earlier three-year sentence for armed robbery.
Court records say Pederson and his 19-year-old brother, Dillon, got in a fight at Tom's Bar in Galesville on Nov. 28 and beat two men. James got behind the wheel and the two fled.
Their car crashed in the town of Trempealeau. A sheriff's deputy who responded to the crash says he found James cradling his brother in the passenger seat of the heavily damaged car. Dillon was pronounced dead at the scene.
