The Winona Chiefs scored seven unanswered runs last night and beat the Pine Island Pioneers 7-2. Ryan Meyers pitched eight innings and gave up two runs and five hits while striking out eight. Jay Stensgard, Brandon Beech, John Skapepel, Ryan Speltz and Lance Jensen all had two hits each while Beech and Jensen both drove in two.

The Chiefs improve to 11-5 overall and 9-3 in the Twin Rivers League.
